The report covers results achieved and experience gained during a work on enhancement of iRODS data management system. As of today iRODS is the largest Data Grid system project. The iRODS project is an Open Source project. In this report we are covering the following areas we are working on: integration of iRODS with intellectual scalable data storages, improvement of iRODS’ fault tolerance, performance optimization by means of load balancing.
